Seafood Week at Aldens Fishmarket
Aldens Fishmarket is bringing the Seafish national Seafood Week celebrations to Oxford. Seafood lovers in Oxfordshire have an exciting chance to join in for Seafood Week 2019, which runs from 4 to 11 October. We want to inspire you to try something new, whether that’s a yummy recipe or a variety of seafood you’ve never tasted before. It’s time to change the way you ‘sea’food!
Throughout the week, we will be celebrating this delicious super food with a series of videos, sharing some inspiring recipes, and some money saving offers for our loyalty card members. Not forgetting, a chance to win in our Seafood Week Competition! Each day will focus on our Fish of the Day- where we will have tasters in store, recipe ideas and videos on how the fish is caught, where it comes from and some great ideas on how to cook it.
Fish Of The Day
Friday 4th– Mackerel
Saturday 5th: Prawns
Sunday 6th: Plaice
Monday 7th: Scallops
Tuesday 8th: Mussels
Wednesday 9th: Hake
Thursday 10th: Crab
Friday 11th: Haddock, cod and pollock for fish & chips
Competition
We’ll be running a competition during the week to win a free meal for two at our onsite, award-winning restaurant Fish4Lunch! Check out our TripAdvisor reviews here. We’re looking for the best looking fish dish out there. It could a traditional Fish Pie, or a salmon stir-fry, or an inventive dish of your own making!
All you have to do to enter is:
- Take a photo of a fish dish you’ve rustled up and upload it to your chosen social media site and explain a little about your creation
- Remember tag us in the photo on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (Or all three if you like!) and hashtag #FishmarketOxford
- Make sure you follow us so we can contact you if you win!*
At the end of the week, our panel of expert judges, including Aldens MD Matthew Alden and our wonderful chefs, Robin and David.
Loyalty Card Rewards
To celebrate, Loyalty Card holders will earn double points on any ‘Fish of the Day’ that you purchase and TRIPLE POINTS on any meal purchased at Fish4Lunch for the month of October!
